Questionnaire Results

For my magazine research I asked 12 people to fill out my questionnaire, my results showed that; 10 out of 12 students would like to see University information featured in the magazine, another content that the majority of students would like to see in the magazine was an Agony Aunt page with 8 out of the 12 saying yes to this, along with a fashion page in the magazine. And 11 out of the 12 decided that they wanted exam and revision information pages. The only page that had lower yes's to no's was sports updates, where 5 decided that they would like a sports updates section whereas 7 decided they wouldn't.
More students decided that they wouldn't want to have adverts in the college magazine with only 5 saying they would, despite the fact that this would help with production costs. Although most students (10) stated that they would only be willing to pay £1 for the college magazine, but one person allowed £1.50 and another said up to £2.50 with many students saying that they wanted it to be released fortnightly (7), 1 stating weekly and 4 rather than monthly.
I found that the most popular genres of music are Hip hop and Indie getting 6 votes each. I allowed the students to choose two different genres for this question, Rap gained 4 votes, closely followed by R&B and chart which got 3 each and heavy metal having 2.
No students wished for the magazine to have more text, 5 said that they would prefer more images but the majority (7) said that they would like an equal amount, and the theme that concluded most popular was a humorous style getting 7 votes and artistic coming second with 4 and one student decided they would like lots of pictures.

I have decided that my magazine will have a definite content of university information, an agony aunt page, exam and revision information, music and a fashion section. My magazine will cost £1 and it will be produced fortnightly with many pictures but a near equal amount of text and a humorous and slightly artistic style. And I may include a few adverts, but not many.
